For seventeen years, I’ve sat with people in the most tender parts of their stories as a psychologist . I work primarily with developmental trauma- healing and mitigating the way it overshadows our experiences. My practice has shaped the way I see the world: with deep respect for the resilience held in every human body. Portraits, for me, are an extension of that same philosophy- that being seen can be affirming, grounding, hopeful and healing. I love to create images that reflect joy, softness, the possibility of feeling at home in oneself .
This portfolio is a continuation of the therapeutic space I’ve held for nearly two decades—one where people are met with care, joy, dignity, and the freedom to be fully themselves. I used to always ask my clients to make an ongoing photographic journal of beautiful moments- intentionally challenging them to notice things that bring feelings of peace, softness and safety. This is also a record of those moments in my own life. .
